Coco Fibre
Elasticated coco fibre, a material know for its aeration abilities, dominates as a filling material in COCO-MAT's mattresses and sofas. The coco fibres are derived from the shell of the coconut and transformed into layers they ensure the correct aeration of the product in which they're used. Before coco fibre is used in mattresses, they are sprayed with natural rubber in order to stabilise them and to make them more elastic. Together with the layers of natural rubber, coco fibres ensure the right aeration and elasticity of mattresses. All of these processes take place in COCO-MAT's factory with the correct machinery, one of which recycles the left-overs of the coco fibre.

Natural, pure and elastic, caoutchouc remains the most important ingredient in manufacturing orthosomatic mattresses and orthocervical pillows. Natural rubber, before being processed into a more stable form, occurs as a milky juice extracted from the caoutchouc trees which grow in tropical climate. Once it arrives at the COCO-MAT factory, it is cleaned, stabilised by using the Talalay method, which ensures its natural properties are safeguarded to a degree of 96%. Once stabilised, it is cut into separate sheets of rubber. Natural rubber breathes perfectly and has a long lifespan.

Horsehair thanks to its ability to regulate humidity is able to create a very dry environment. Many people who suffer from rheumatism use plasters made out of horsehair to cover their hurting joints. The horsehair COCO-MAT uses comes from the mane and the tail of horses and after having undergone sterilisation, it is being processed into thin layers, which are sprayed with natural rubber in order to make them more elastic.
coco-mat-cactusCactus
Cactus, a plant which evolved 35 million years ago and has remained untouched by humans ever since, is collected and manufactured into 3 cm thick layers of cactus fibre. As a material it is highly durable, strong and humidity-absorbent.

Cotton is one of the oldest materials used in fabric production. Its softness, absorbency, its strength paired with lightness and hypoallergenic properties constitute it as a material which has endured time and is still being used unaffected by its synthetic competition.
coco-mat-woolWool
Why did our grandfathers wear woollen shirts even during the summer? Wool is probably the only material which warms us in winter and is cool and comfortable during the summer. It is able to absorb humidity to a degree of 39% of its weight. That is why we don't sweat when we wear clothes made out of wool. COCO-MAT knows of those unique thermal and insulation properties of cotton and uses it, after processing it with environmentally-friendly methods, in the form of cotton padding in duvets, blankets, top-mattresses, mattresses and bed mattresses.
coco-mat-linenLinen
Linen comes from the f.ax plant, Linum usitatissimum, and it one of the oldest textiles known to man. It is a very resilient and strong fabric while it is valued for its exceptional coolness and freshness in hot weather. Linen is a soft textile, which becomes softer with use. COCO-MAT uses linen fabric for furniture, curtains and other products.
